Dinner at Joanne Trattoria

Stopped in at Lady GaGa's parents Joseph and Cynthia Germanotta's new restaurant Joanne Trattoria at 70 West 68th Street.

Enjoyed the Spaghetti with Sunday Gravy & Joanne’s Meatballs and for dessert had Grandmothers’ Lemon Cake with Meringue.  Spectacular!!  

If you are in Manhattan drop in to Joanne's and have an authentic Italian dinner.  Joanne Trattoria is cozy and friendly and the food is great.  Most Italian restaurants in Manhattan tend to be trendy and hip but the food is over-priced and pretentious.  The menu choices are Broccoli Rabe and Penne Pasta, or Chicken with Sweet Italian Sausage, or Oso Bucco with creamy Polenta, and many other Italian favorites - - and a lovely wine list with affordable choices.  

When I walked in I was greeted by a favorite Frank Sinatra song, attractive family photos, a friendly hostess, all surrounded in a warm and inviting Italian setting.      

So if find yourself on the upper West Side of New York City, treat yourself to a nice time and dinner at Joanne Trattoria.

NYC Marathon...

Welcome to my new Blog - Bert The Runner Duck's Best of New York City.

Now that the New York City Marathon is over, and promotion for my first book is done, and my second run for Mayor of New York City isn't for another year or so, I decided to start this Blog.  From time to time I will be posting all that is great about New York City.  From Staten Island, to Brooklyn, The Bronx, Queens and of course, Manhattan!!

I will be posting about restaurants, sporting and concert events, art exhibitions, all that is happening around New York City, day and night.  You will read about places you know and hidden gems that I will uncover.
